Dimensions of Leupold GX-4i
The Leupold GX-4i measures 4.1” long x 2.9” high x 1.3” wide and weighs 7.9 ounces.
Digitally eNhanced Accuracy engine
Leupold GX-4i is a new Leupold golf rangefinder that features the DNA engine technology and an infrared laser. These features offer instant measurements and accuracy to within six inches of the flagstick as well as other targets. It displays accuracy to the nearest 1/10th of a yard and its maximum ranging distance is 800 yards.
The Leupold GX-4i can be customized to the needs of the individual. It is designed to help golfers of any skill level to take their games to the next level. It offers enhanced versatility with a removable Smart Key that adds the benefits of both True Golf Range a.k.a. TGR and Club Selector features of Leupold golf rangefinders. The Leupold GX-4i provides accurate ranging information that is matched to the shot slope, atmospheric condition and personal hitting strength of the golfer, when the TGR and Club Selector features are activated by the Smart Key.
True Golf Range
The TGR of the Leupold GX-4i offers golfers a compensation for long playing uphill shots and short playing downhill shots. It displays the adjusted ‘plays like’ range, calculated from the laser-measured line-of-sight distance, decline or incline, ball trajectory, current temperature and specific altitude.
With the green sitting six degrees above the ball, a golfer has a 150 yard lie from the pin. The Leupold GX-4i indicates the shot should be played as if it were 164 yards, using advanced TGR algorithms for an automatic account of each factor.
Leupold GX-4i- Club Selector
The Club Selector of the Leupold GX-4i automatically makes a proper club recommendation for each shot after factoring in the specific hitting strength and TGR of the golfer to the target, when it is activated. The Leupold GX-4i does the rest after the simple input of his personal striking distance for three specific clubs by the user. It also indicates when the distance falls between clubs.
Pinhunter Laser Technology
The Leupold GX-4i features the Pinhunter Laser Technology for an effective filtering out of large background objects and flag or pin zeroing in for extremely precise and fast target acquisition. It gives golfers the selection of three aiming reticles. They can choose the one that works best for the intended target and usage. The distance can be displayed either in yards or meters.
Prism Lock Technology/Fog mode
The Leupold GX-4i offers other key features including the Prism Lock Technology and the Fog mode. The Prism Lock Technology makes an audible beep upon high intensity return identification from flagsticks that are equipped with specialized prisms, when the Leupold GX-4i is in Scan mode. These specialized prisms are already in use on many golf courses. The steady holding of the Leupold GX-4i becomes less of a concern with the Prism Lock Technology. It assures exact distance measurement. On the other hand, the Fog mode enables the Leupold GX-4i to cut through mist. It provides fast and accurate distance measurements.
The Leupold GX-4i has a 6x magnification. It offers a one-touch Scan mode that allows users landscape sweeping while measuring distance continuously. It has additional features including fully multi-coated lenses that provide crystal-clear images, a display that is easy to read and rubber eyecups that fold down. Each unit of the Leupold GX-4i is weatherproof and comes with a Cordura holster, a battery, a lanyard and a complete instructional manual.
